Frequently Asked Question

Who needs a UAE Will?

Anyone with assets in the UAE, property, bank accounts, business interests, or personal belongings should have a registered Will. Without one, your estate may be distributed under UAE default rules, which may not reflect your wishes.

All three are valid UAE Will registration options, but serve different needs.

  • ADJD (Abu Dhabi): The most cost-effective and inclusive option. Open to both Muslims and non-Muslims, it covers all UAE assets via a fully online process.
  • DIFC (Common Law): Strictly for non-Muslims. It uses a Common Law framework (similar to the UK) and is ideal for those seeking international recognition and total exclusion from Sharia principles.
  • Dubai Courts: A locally notarized option for both Muslims and non-Muslims. It is best suited for securing UAE-based assets through the local Dubai judicial system.

A Single Will covers one individual. A Mirror Will is designed for married couples and allows both partners to set out matching wishes — such as leaving everything to each other and then to their children — within a single combined process, at a reduced combined rate.

After submitting your enquiry through the RAKEZ portal, our team will contact you for a consultation call to understand your wishes, assets, and beneficiaries. Your qualified professional will then prepare your Initial Draft within 3 working days. Once approved, your Will is submitted to the relevant court or authority and officially registered.

Yes. As a RAKEZ Value Added Services partner, A&A Associate offers pre-negotiated rates exclusively available to RAKEZ clients through this portal.
